Our esoteric understanding. The sign of Cancer is connected to the process of incarnation, to birth and death. Cancer asks: “Is this what you want?” Birth and death is the two possible answers to Cancer. The force behind reincarnation, physical birth, is related to desire – which is the keynote of planet Earth. In the cosmos, in the discarnate state, the desire is to become reborn, to taste the pleasures of earthly life; and being in the physical body, the desire and longing may be towards God. “The grass of the neighbor is always greener”, regardless on which side of the fence we are on – incarnated or discarnate.
