The Path of Dharma
This meditation build on the same principles as the Christian Icon-contemplations and the Budhist tangha contemplations. The ressonance between a arcetypical figure painted from a high guidance, and the deeper wisdom of our mind.
The two ways to use them we recommend is written under each individual picture.
These pictures are representations of enlightened beings, each having reached his or her goal via the path described, so this is archetypes or entities that has become one with their goal, with higher consciousness or God.
If these pictures are chosen as a basis for self development, we recommend that all pictures are used for a time, so that it is not just like-dislike that governs, but that all can do their work.
As a rule of thumb it is imperative in a meditative praxis, to build up regularity and some duration, but don’t overdo it, start for example with 5 or 10 minutes daily, sit relaxed, be aware of your spine, and work with the instruction given.
If the chakra-related instruction are used, go through all the 20 symbols, fore example over one week, so that the balance between the chakras are maintained.
Look at the picture with a relaxed gaze while you simultaneously link in to your chakras one by one:
Root; Hara; Solar P; Heart; Throat; 3’eye, and reverse, 3’eye, Throat; Heart; Solar P; Hara; Root.

| Zodiac sign: Pisces Chakra: Hara at the back Contemplation: Look at the picture with a relaxed gaze and contemplate: O’ God, it is in your hands if what I did was good or bad. The mantra for the centre of this entity which is identical with the Crown chakra, is “The vow of the Bodhisattva”. The background colour has the mantra “The Lords Prayer”. The 1000 spokes each has a ‘mantra’ chosen from one of ones main problems. The vow of the Bodhisattva: Living beings are without number: I vow to row them to the other shore. Defilements are without number: I vow to remove them from myself. The teachings are immeasurable: I vow to study and practice them. The way is very long: I vow to arrive at the end. Here from George Appleton: The Oxford Book of Prayer The Lords Prayer: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Here from George Appleton: The Oxford Book of Prayer |
